Robert Krups

Chief Executive Officer

Robert Krups was appointed as Co-CEO for BCI Media Group in 2018 with his current focus on BCI’s Asia-Pacific operations.

Robert joined BCI in 2010 as a Project Manager for South America and was appointed as General Manager for the Cross Media Division of BCI Asia. In 2012, he was promoted to Chief Executive Officer for BCI Asia.

Robert works closely with the BCI Asia Management team as part of his responsibility for all business operations across Asia. Robert works to analyse opportunities with strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, all while looking to expand into new markets.

Robert attended Göttingen University in Germany where he was awarded a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics. He also graduated from Murdoch University in Perth, Australia with a Master of Science in renewable energy. Robert then spent three years working with the German office of the World Wide Fund for Nature before moving to BCI Media Group.

Damian Eastman
Co-Chief Executive Officer

Damian Eastman was appointed as Co-CEO for BCI Media Group in 2018. In 2020, Damian also took on the role of CEO for BuildCentral, our Chicago-based, USA affiliate.

Damian originally joined BCI in 2004 as a Customer Liaison Consultant but was assigned a product development position soon after. He was then asked to head up the Australian Research Department. In 2012, he took on the role of Chief Operating Officer for BCI Australia and New Zealand.

Damian has responsibility for all of BCI’s business operations with a focus on our USA business unit. He works with management teams to improve efficiency, maintain strong growth and analyse opportunities of strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions.

Damian has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago and, before joining BCI, held various roles with the Australian Bureau of Statistics and with several Australian-based international financial institutions.

Darina Boteva

Chief Financial Officer

Darina Boteva was appointed as Chief Financial Officer upon joining BCI Central in November 2022. She brings more than 15 years of finance leadership and experience in the Technology sector. As the BCI Group’s CFO, Darina overseas the Accounting, Finance, Budgeting & Forecasting, Management reporting and Transactional functions.

Prior to joining BCI, Darina worked for several private and public multinational companies (ABB, Harris Corporation, Imagine Communications) in different leadership roles, gaining proficiency in all finance and accounting areas. Her expertise is most notably in the financial management of multi-entity, multi-country corporate structures and the related governance and compliance requirements. Darina is also highly skilled in building and streamlining efficient, diverse finance teams, and achieving operational efficiency.

Darina is a member of CPA Australia and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of New England, and Bachelor of International Business from the University of Economics, Varna.

Michelle Aizenberg
Chief Research Officer

Michelle Aizenberg was assigned the role of Chief Data Officer and appointed to the Executive Board in 2014. With a focus on improving project research quality and practices, Michelle oversees the development of BCI’s research resources and the overall management of the operations across Asia, USA, Australia, and New Zealand. Having started with BCI Australia in 2006 as a researcher, Michelle has a thorough understanding of the role and its importance to the company.

When she initially joined BCI, Michelle was in the process of completing her studies; she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours), Master of Arts, and a Bachelor of Law from the University of New South Wales. She has also completed her practical legal training with Aboriginal Legal Service (NSW/ACT) and was admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in December 2011.

Nikhil Roy

Chief Technology Officer

Nikhil Roy joined BCI in 2001, in the formative years of the business, as a Developer in the Singapore office. He was appointed IT Manager in 2002 where he was responsible for the management of BCI’s internal IT systems. Nikhil was instrumental in the development and launch of BCI’s proprietary software systems in Australia.

Relocating to Sydney in 2005, Nikhil established the local Australian IT team and coordinated the development of new products, improvements, and features. He has since moved into a group-wide management position, overseeing all development, support, and infrastructure as the head of the Regional IT department.

Nikhil has a Bachelor of Engineering specialising in computing from the University of Mumbai along with over 20 years of experience in web development. Prior to joining BCI, he held various roles working on high-profile websites in India, for the Times Group, and in Singapore, for the Singapore Stock Exchange.

Ashleigh Porter
Chief Operating Officer - ANZ

Since starting at BCI Media Group in 2008, Ashleigh has gained a wealth of experience in both the architectural and construction industries, having worked in roles as diverse as Information Researcher, Sales Manager, and Learning and Development Manager.

Ashleigh joined Architectural Information Services (AIS) in 2014 following the acquisition of AIS by BCI Media Group. Working as a liaison between AIS and BCI Media Group, Ashleigh was instrumental in the integration of the two businesses. In July 2016, she was appointed General Manager of AIS, taking responsibility for all business operations across Australia and launching the business into the New Zealand market. In 2019, Ashleigh spearheaded the launch of Archify in the ANZ market and has been a key contributor to the platform’s ongoing development and expansion across the Asia-Pacific.

Ashleigh joined the Executive Board of BCI in 2019 when she was promoted to Chief Operating Officer – Australia & New Zealand. Ashleigh holds a bachelor’s degree in Media and Communication from the University of Wollongong.

Nish PKN

Chief Operating Officer – Asia

Nish was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for BCI Asia in 2018. Nish began his career with BCI Asia in 2008; he then became General Manager for BCI Asia in 2015.

Nish focuses on BCI Asia’s core-business growth and works closely with General Managers to build high-performing teams and improve customer retention. He is responsible for improving the company’s performance, leading change, and strengthening financial returns.

Nish received a Bachelor of Arts in marketing from Coventry University in the UK, and he was awarded a Master of Business Administration, majoring in finance from the University of Derby, UK.

What drives us at BCI is not just supporting the growth of our clients' businesses, but enabling the construction sector to become more efficient and transparent overall.

Sharmaine SD

Regional Sales Director

Sharmaine was appointed as Regional Sales Director in 2010. In this role she is responsible for managing the sales efforts, initiatives, and sales policies across all the countries and regions within BCI Asia.

Another of the company’s long-term employees, Sharmaine joined BCI Asia in 2000 as a Business Development Executive. Previously she worked with a well-established local interior design firm in a business development capacity.

Sharmaine holds a diploma from the prestigious international association, the Chartered Institute of Marketing—based in the UK, this now boasts a membership of over 40 000 professional marketers worldwide.

Sally Kheng
Cross Media Division Director

Sally Kheng was appointed to the position of Regional Director – Cross Media Division in 2017.  In her current role, she is responsible for managing sales efforts, account management, new initiatives, and successful events execution in Asia.

Sally began her career with BCI Asia in 2002. In 2010, Sally became the Regional Research Director – Asia, motivating the research teams to achieve and then exceed desired quantitative and qualitative performances.

Prior to BCI Asia, Sally worked with local developers specialising in residential project marketing. She also worked with Chesterton International, sealing several high-profile investment sales.

Sally attended the University of NSW where she gained a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in economics and marketing. She was awarded a Diploma in Building Management from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore.

Nana Sulina
Group Subscription Manager

Nana Sulina was appointed as the Group Subscription Manager for BCI Media Group in 2020. Since 2011, Nana was the Regional Administration Manager and the Singapore Office Manager. Nana was responsible for implementing any day-to-day activities and policies that would improve the operational efficiency of the Singapore office.

Following her graduation from the William Blue College of Hospitality Management in Sydney with a Diploma in American Hospitality Management, Nana was a Director’s Personal Assistant and worked for several international chain hotels. Nana joined BCI in 2004 as an Administration Assistant.

Candice Lim
Editor in Chief & Business Manager

Editor in Chief and Business Manager of BCI Asia, Candice Lim leads the regional publishing and editorial department. As Editor in Chief, Candice is responsible for driving the strategic direction of BCI Asia’s print and digital publications.

Since 2007, she has been managing and producing the content of the award-winning FuturArc magazine, a quarterly trade journal advocating architecture that demonstrates social responsibility and sustainability. In 2014, Construction Plus, BCI Asia’s newest title, was launched under her leadership. She manages its day-to-day operations, guiding all print and digital content and managing circulation efforts in the region.

Before joining BCI Asia, Candice worked as a senior editor at Editions Didier Millet, at Singapore Press Holdings, and in communications and media relations at Singapore’s largest not-for-profit organisation, the National Kidney Foundation. Candice holds an honour’s degree from the National University of Singapore.

Sarah Ortiz

Research Manager – Asia

Sarah Ortiz was appointed to the position of Research Manager – Asia in January 2019. This role entails management of research operations across Asia—working with National Research Managers and General Managers to maximise coverage of construction activity in different countries, and to maintain and improve quality standards with a focus on satisfying clients’ needs.

Sarah started out as a researcher and then as a team leader for BCI ANZ and was later promoted to National Research Manager – Philippines.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of the Philippines.

Tan Kwee Choo

Asia Quality Manager

Kwee Choo was appointed to the position of Quality Manager – Asia in 2019. She is responsible for the project research quality across Asia, always seeking to meet and exceed quality standards.

During her years with BCI, Kwee Choo has held the positions of Research Consultant and National Research Manager – Malaysia. Prior to joining BCI Asia in 1999, Kwee Choo had worked for the largest local bank for a number of years after which she joined the corporate planning division of a multi-business corporation, providing financial planning for the company.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in economics from the University of Malaya (Second Class Upper) and a diploma from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) in accounting and business statistics.

Elaine Wai

Hong Kong General Manager

Elaine Wai was appointed General Manager for Hong Kong in 2006 and is responsible for managing all business operations within the country. In her role, Elaine is in charge of achieving budgeted levels of revenue and profitability and building a workplace culture consistent with our corporate values of Boldness, Commitment and Integrity.

She graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Arts on the Dean’s List with First Prize award for her final-year project. Elaine takes pride in the fact that BCI is only her second employer! Between graduating and commencing work with BCI as a Client Liaison Consultant, she worked for six months as an Operations Trainee in the telecommunications industry.

Regional Sales Director
Pietter Sanjaya
General Manager – Emerging Markets

Pietter became General Manager for Indonesia in May 2018. In this position, Pietter manages business operations in Indonesia, working to achieve budgeted revenue and profitability. He also strives to cultivate a workplace culture that is consistent with BCI Media Group’s core values.

Pietter’s professional background includes extensive experience in the construction industry, sales, marketing, and operations management in various companies in Indonesia and the USA.

Pietter attended the University of Houston in Texas, USA, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in both finance and marketing.

Kok Sook Leng
Malaysia General Manager

Leng was appointed as General Manager for Malaysia in May 2018. Her responsibilities extend to BCI Malaysia’s sales, account management, research, and events, all while building a positive and productive workplace environment.

Graduating from Universiti Malaysia Sabah with a Bachelor of Science in multimedia technology, Leng began work with a 4-star hotel in the Federal Territory of Sabah and was responsible for its sales and marketing materials, before joining BCI Asia’s team as a Business Development Consultant. Over the years with BCI, she has held various positions such as Business Development Manager, Team Leader, and National Account Manager.

Stanny Pamintuan
Philippines General Manager

Stanny Pamintuan was appointed as General Manager – Philippines in May 2018. Since 2015, he had been the National Sales Manager, responsible for all sales and account management operations in the country. Stanny manages the business development, account management and customer service departments to achieve the budgeted revenue and profitability while promoting the corporate values of BCI Media Group.

Stanny’s professional background includes a successful track record in sales, marketing, and operations management from various multi-national companies. He also has extensive experience in the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry, as well as in investment research, servicing clients across the Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America.

Stanny has a bachelor’s degree in management, majoring in finance from De La Salle University in Manila.

Saowapa Naowaoaj
Thailand General Manager

Saowapa Naowaoaj was appointed General Manager for Thailand in 2018 and is responsible for all business operations within the country. She manages business development, the Account Management team, the Sales department, and the Event Sales department with a drive to achieve budgeted revenue and profitability. She is also responsible for building a workplace culture consistent with the corporate values of BCI Media Group.

Saowapa joined BCI Asia in 2013 as a Business Development Consultant. In 2017, she was promoted to National Sales Manager for Thailand, before becoming the Operations Manager. Saowapa’ s professional background includes a successful track record in sales, marketing, and operations management with various multi-national companies and within the hospitality industry.

Saowapa has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, majoring in international business, from Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok, Thailand.

Anh Vo Chi

Vietnam General Manager

Anh was appointed as General Manager for BCI Vietnam in February 2017, taking full responsibility for all business operations and ensuring BCI success in Vietnam.

Anh came to BCI Vietnam with more than 20 years of management and sales experience. He has focused on business operations, distribution, strategic marketing, sales management, and the motivation of teams to achieve success.

Prior to joining BCI, Anh served as the Deputy CEO – Sales and Marketing/Ho Chi Minh Branch Office Director of Prevoir Life Insurance Vietnam, worked as National Sales Manager of Groupama Vietnam – General Insurance, and as a Sales Manager at Chevron (Caltex) Lubricants. He brings hands-on expertise in business-to-business sales (B2B), business-to-consumer sales (B2C), strategy, marketing, customer-centric organisation, and in business development.

Anh has a Master of Business and Marketing Management from Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (Belgium).
