Previously President of Europe’s leading construction media group (Bertelsmann Professional Information), Dr. Matthias (Matt) Krups founded BCI Group in Sydney in 1998.

After pioneering the construction project leads concept in Southeast Asia BCI Group launched its national service BCI Australia in April 2002. Matt is Chairman and CEO of BCI Group, and an Executive Director of BCI Asia Construction Information Pte Ltd (Singapore), BCI Australia Pty Ltd and Omni-Quant Pty Ltd. Matt is responsible for the strategic direction of BCI, having been involved in the industry well over 20 years.

He was President of Bertelsmann’s Construction information Group (today known as Docu-Group) for many years leaving behind 14 companies in eight European countries with revenue in excess of US$100 million. Matt is a member of the World Presidents Organization and the Design Futures Council. Matt holds University Diploma in Management and a PhD in Economics from Muenster University in Germany.

Matt is co-founder and publisher of FuturArc, the region’s leading ‘green’ architecture magazine published by BCI Asia in Singapore and co-initiator of the highly regarded FuturArc Prize. He has published numerous articles and reports on the state of the construction industry in Australia and the region with an emphasis on current market analysis and trends. He is frequently quoted by trade and mainstream media such as the Australian Financial Review, The Age, Architecture & Design and Award Magazine.
